In for todays review we have Rosati’s Pizza of Countryside, IL. They have quite a few locations around the city and been around since 1964. Since then, I’m willing to bet they are probably the Chicago chain with the most restaurants in different states across the US. It may not be the best option being a chain, but they do a pretty good job at giving the rest of the US a taste of our thin crust pizza.
I’ve had this pizza quite a few times now and like most chain restaurants, they are pretty inconsistent. I’ve had it at a few locations where it was great pizza and others where it was just subpar or bad. They have an odd slogan of “Keeping It Real Since 1964”, but in my opinion it should be “Keeping It Inconsistent Since Expanding”. Out of all chain restaurants, I think Rosati’s is at the top of being a mystery grab bag of not knowing what you are going to get when going to a different location.
This time I ordered from their location in Countryside, IL which I haven’t had before. I ordered a large pepperoni and sausage pizza here and fortunately it was a good one! The pizza had a good crust, sauce, and cheese. Sausage was not the best but good enough. Overall it was a enjoyable pizza that both myself, kids, and wife all liked. I’ll definitely be ordering again!
